Went on the dancing dolphin cruise in Mandurah bay. No dolphins sighted but did see some interesting plant life, beautiful houses and a shy cormorant

Falcon Beach, Mandurah Bay, Fremantle
Put my toe in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Water was warm.
Closed the day off in Fremantle. Unfortunately due to fading light conditions did not get pictures of the many older sandstone buildings but did get pictures of the harbour. A seagull sits on the rocks at the end of the day.

Swan Valley Wine Region
Just a few kilometres outside of Perth is the Swan Valley Wine region. Known for its chocolate factories, cheese factories, and wine, I appreciated the beauty of the area. Everything was delicious, especially the chocolate. As my new t-shirt says, so much chocolate, so little time.
A visit to Perth
Today I visited Perth, the capital of the state of Western Australia. Perth is known for two things. One it is the most isolated city of over one million people in the world. Sydney and Melbourne are five hours away by plane. Adelaide is over three hours away. To the west lies the Indian Ocean. To the east and North lies desert. Perth sits on the Swan River just East of the Indian Ocean. It is known for its warm weather, outdoor street malls, and its mix of Asian and western cultures. Two Perth is about as far away from Toronto as you can get in the world. It is some 18,000 kms. away from Toronto.

I'm back
Well it has been a few months since I have added anything. But last night after a 4 hour weather delay, I arrived back in Australia. Stay tuned here for my pictures and thoughts as I travel down under this time.
