And now back by popular demand- highlights

As I put on my Facebook page, Australia loves me, it really does love me.  I went to bed last night with a reassuring email from Air Canada that my flight was on time.  I got up at 5:30am Monday morning (that is 2:30pm Sunday afternoon) time in Sydney.  I finished packing, showered, and caught the 7:15 train out of Wyong.  I got to Sydney airport at 9:30 only to find out that my flight was delayed by 6 hours due to either a safety check on the 777 due to the crash last week or the cyclone up in Queensland.  I am an easy calm flyer so that doesn't bother me.  However, I was told that I have a confirmed seat up to Vancouver and I will need to get a seat to Toronto once I clear customs there.  So I won't get back to Toronto until either late tonight (mid afternoon Tuesday Sydney time) or maybe even tomorrow (Tuesday evening or early morning Wednesday Sydney time).  Can you spell jet lag?

But not one to complain after such a wonderful holiday, I will use this opportunity to post some more pics of my trip.

Bedeepbedeepbedeep That's All Folks

Well all good things must come to an end.  And thus my travel to Australia ends tomorrow.  It has been a wonderful vacation.  I did so much and saw so much.  My bucket list trip here did not disappoint.

My final picture that I will post on this blog is a picture I call "One of these things is not like the other."  See if you can tell which triplet is different.

The three triplets are Harry Anderson, and two tasmanian devil babies.

The Hunter Valley, the village of Morpeth, and a possum (not opossum)

Today we went up to the Hunter Valley, situated about 150 kms. north of Sydney.  Famous for its wine growing area it is surrounded by blue mountains, green grass, and majestic sunny skies.  It was quite beautiful.

Then we drove up the road to the village of Morpeth.  A former river port, the town used to be a busy port with 18 hotels, brothels, churches, convents and schools.  It is now an arts community with lots of quaint shops and interesting eateries.

Tonight I had a dinner party with friends new and old who wished me well before my trip back to Canada on Monday.  One of the guests brought a special guest, an Australian possum.  Having been hurt in the wild, Mischief is now being raised by a family.  She sat so gently in my arms
