Mardi Gras

Took only a few photos at Mardi Gras.  The parade happens in the evening, and my battery on my camera was running low and night photos take so long.  Anyways I loved the Mardi Gras parade.  The costumes, music, and vibrant colours were fantastic.  The crowds were fairly large.  Everyone seemed to have such a wonderful time.  Best of all, the heavy rain which plagued us all morning, disappeared in time for us to get our place at the front of the traffic control barrier, and the rains held off until after the parade.  Many at the parade greeted us warmly as we waved our Canadian rainbow flags.  We are now back to the Central Coast for a few days before heading off to Melbourne on Tuesday.
