A three hour tour
Yesterday, we went on a full day tour to Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, and the Great Barrier Reef. Whitehaven is famous for its 9 kms. of white sand. A recent typhoon dumped the debris on the beach. Normally it is much more pristine but still it was gorgeous. We got to the beach at 9. It was glorious. After donning our stinger suits, pictures to follow, we swam in the Coral Sea. Water temps were about 27C. At 1230, the boat was to take us on the rest of our tour, but the steering mechanism on our boat went. Not good when you have 4 meter swells in the ocean. So we were stranded in paradise until we were rescued by the 230 sailing of a larger boat.

Now I can't get the theme of Gilligan's Island out of my head! Glad you were rescued safely. The Seniors missed your Valentine's singing today. They all say hello. I showed them the picture of you in your tee and read your last post to them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl. Happy Valentines to you
