Both of us have crossed lines before. We have stood at the Greenwich Observatory in London where the prime meridian stands. We have stood in Western Canada straddling the 49th parallel. Other lines we have crossed are the equator, by air, the two tropic lines, by air, and the International dateline also by air. Today though, in our trusty rent a car we drove the 30 kms. up the Stuart Highway to the Tropic of Capricorn. Here you see my favourite Capricorn straddling the tropic line.
Also today we went at dusk to a nearby hillside where we got to feed some wallaby. They were so timid and gentle. Their fir was soft soft soft. I would bring one home if I could get Gaelan Weston of Loblaw's fame to stock President's Choice Wallaby chow
Tomorrow we are back to Wyong for a few days to see our friends.
