Singing at the opera house

First things first.  A retraction.  There are many colourful rhino statues in Sydney right now.  There is not just one rhino.  They are being auctioned off right now as part of the Save the Rhino campaign.

Today we took the city tour of Sydney.  Truly it is a beautiful city with sandstone buildings from the 19th century mixing in with modern buildings.

I will post more pictures later of the tour, but today I scratched off one of the things on my bucket list.  While taking a tour of the Opera House, I sang two notes while on the tour.  So there, I have sung at the Sydney Opera House.  What amazed me at the house were the geometric lines made up of glass, concrete and wood.  You could just see how all of these nooks and crannies would allow sound to bounce.  And to think I saw the stage where many famous singers have descended.  We enjoyed the tour so much, we are going to see a concert by a Norwegian choir this evening.
